Guitar 125F: This one is ok. It’s just to fulfill my music minor and it shouldn’t be too bad since I’ve dabbled in guitar before. I suppose I’m just a bit cynical about it because the piano class I had last year and the one I dropped out of last semester were sort of disappointing, and I always feel super awkward in these performance classes filled with a bunch of music majors that know their shit.
Abnormal Psychology: I think I’m going to really love this one! The professor is lively and funny, the subject matter is interesting, and the course load doesn’t seem too bad. Overall a winner.
Psychology of Happiness: This is going to be my “give me so much stress but I really love it and it’s life changing” class of the semester. Worried about the 10 page term paper, yet after one lecture I’m already in love.
Music and Film: My low-maintenance class of the semester. It’s not even mandatory to go to class, but I will just because it’s THAT enjoyable (and it’s sandwiched between two classes, so what’s the point of ditching).
Ethnic Experience in the US: I have mixed feelings about this one. It’s taught by four different professors, one who is the actually the founder of Kwanzaa. But I have a feeling some of the discussions/people in this class will get on my nerves. But it seems easy enough… so whatever.
World Percussion: Sadly, the only one I’m not too excited for. I feel bad saying that because this is my 4th semester a part of the group, and I’ve gotten to know these people and like them. But in all honesty, I’m just bored with it, and just want to get it over with. I’m tired of having to take this class knowing I’m not really interested and just filling a requirement and hate having a three hour gap between Ethnic Experience and this. Thankfully it’ll be over March 16. Then I’m done with it forever.
Overall this looks like a decent semester. Not perfect, but not miserable either!
